Default Does Pro tools open up a logic pro project file?

Since logic projects are MAC files.. will protools open up the file..
The reason i was asking is because i have heard of producers recording on logic then doing the mixing on protools.... I really dont know why but i couldnt comprehend how that is possible...

A lot of times the beauty of Logic (or Mac) is how freaking easy it is. All you do is choose File>Export>All Tracks as Audio Files.

Yeah, what they are doing is exporting the audio files out of Logic and importing them into ProTools. The audio files ARE compatible; the session/project files are not.

It will export each audio file from the song..so if you have ten tracks, it will export each track as an audio file so that you end up with ten files(tracks).

What boo said, and they are doing the entire mix in ProTools. And please don't confuse yourself by saying "Mastered Mix." Mastering and mixing are two entirely different processes.

Oh man, there's a world of issues with that. I'm assuming you're going from Mac to PC since you originally asked about Logic. First off, before you even try to move to a PC, make sure your audio files are in BWAV format. Windows cannot read AIFF or SDII files. Second, the keyboard shortcuts are confusing as hell because PCs don't have a CMD key (the apple button), and they do NOT translate across to the same keys on a non-mac keyboard. Another thing is getting used to having everything all in the same window and constantly having the start menu at the bottom. And these are just the purely aesthetic differences. Then you have to deal with all the things Windows runs in the background that use up RAM that could be dedicated to your DAW, there's the internet connection and a million other little things that have to be taken into account. Okay, not a million, but a lot of things that are taken for granted on a Mac.
