Default Putting an effect on a portion of the entire song

Is there some shortcut for putting an effect on a certain section of all the tracks of the song?

For instance, let's say I wanted to put a phaser on the portion from 1:05 to 1:10, across all 25 tracks. Is there a way to do this without going through and highlighting every single track individually?

Thanks.

seems odd, but I'm sure you've got your reasons... here's how I would approach -
put a vst plug-in on your master out bus, add an envelope for the effect and have it only work at the times suggested.
need more details or does that get you going?

I'm sorry, I'm only a beginner and don't know what a "vst plug-in" or "master out bus" are.

Are these features of Audacity, or parts of the computer?

hmmm...well...I've come up with a newer, easier method for you:

render down the 25 track mix in two versions- on with the effect, one with out, then create a new audacity file where you cut/paste the effected and non-effected at the times you need.
simple enough?

1- render down 25 tracks to wav (or whatever)
2- effect that entire track with effect
3- open new file, line up effected and uneffected, cut paste to make shortened effect range
4- render new (patched together) file

Thanks for the suggestion frshtrx, I appreciate your time and help.

I wonder, though: is it really necessary to go through this many steps and create multiple versions of a song just to add one effect?

Couldn't you just highlight a bunch of tracks somehow, and then click on the effect?

I was operating under the purpose of finding the most efficient method, given the scenario you described as " across all 25 tracks."
now you're changing the scenario.
if you know what you want to do, ask those questions.
if you're hypothetical creating scenarios in your head, say so. that way you can have the best answer as fast as possible

The master out bus is the "fader" that all 25 of your tracks end up going to before they head out of your computer and into your speakers. It's the fader that you use to turn up or down the volume of the entire mix.

I'm not an Audacity user, but if you can put an "effect" ( phaser, EQ, whatever ) on that master bus ( sometimes called the "2bus" because it's where everything becomes a stereo mix or 2 tracks ) then your effect will be applied to all the tracks at once.

Or you could render the tune without the effect aand then apply it to the 2 track render.

Thanks for explaining what the "master out bus" is, Vulconizer, I appreciate your taking the time to educate me.
