 Line In
I am having a hard time getting Audacity to record. When using an interface going from my my guitarline IN/ to my interface, what should I select to use as what option I am using when recording? I am assuming Line in? But I tried that and nothing is going through. Any ideas? Chris  |

I don't think you mentioned what interface you are using..But LINE IN on any interface will not have enough gain for a guitar signal. Real audio interfaces have high impedance instrument input channels. If you are just using a stock soundcard you wil need some kind of preamp, a POD, a TubeMP, something.

do you have a "what you hear" function? you have to make sure you have your settings right as well.
