Try Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O > then select your device from the Playback and Recording list drop down menu. Then make your selections in the Quality menu. Good Luck, Dave

Cubase is very powerful and will allow you to do just about anything you will ever need to do. This requires a manual read and putting in a little time.

So Whats The Big Deal With Cubase??? I've Been Using Audacity My Whole Recording Life And I Have Never Really Come Into Any Problems. So That Being Said What Makes Cubas Better? And DO The Noobs On The Site Need It? (Im Talking About Myself Of Course)

I can't answer that because I've never used Audacity. I started with Vegas and was blown away by the possibilities when I switched to Cubase SX3. You can read about some of this here:

Im yet to buy cubase but from reading his article it is a way more complicated program but does way more things than audacity can do.

well yeah. for features, it's like microsoft word compared to notepad. but if you're too lazy to read up on how to use it (and it does take a bit of time, i'll be honest) then it's not for you. stick with audacity instead and save yourself some time and effort. and money too, cause cubase isn't terribly cheap.
