hi. i am using a hp 550 together with a edirolua-1ex to record vynil to dvd audio.i am taking an optical feed from a behringer deq24/96 which is used for mastering to the edirol .recordings are great exept for 1 or 2 gaps per cut . these are only milliseconds in duration but extremely irritating as i can pick them up instantly.i have tried the usual re removing all poss processes while recording, to no avail. laptop is 1.75 gig with 1gig ram.i have removed vista and reinstalled xp pro.i am not sure if the problem is the software ie audacity or the laptop.any advice would be appreciated.the authering software is dvd solo, which works perfectly.
