Hello! I am trying to get a new project started up between myself and a vocalist. The only problem is that she lives about 200 miles away and records exclusively on audacity, while I use nuendo. We would like to build songs by exchanging entire project files back and forth via the internet or mail and edit them individually in our respective programs. Is there any way to open the same project file in both audacity and nuendo while still preserving individual tracks, mixer settings, etc??? |

Nuendo cannot open an Audacity project file. I just tried it here on my machine (Nuendo 2). You'll have to export the tracks individually and have her load them into Audacity. The only thing that I could think of would be for her to purchase Nuendo as well, but that program is quite a bit of change. I'd start looking into some other programs the two of you could purchase (Cubase, Sonar, Audition, etc.) Also, you could use Audacity and then use Nuendo to do the mastering and/or final mixdown. Sorry, thenewrobot, but I'm just not seeing how to make that work. Good luck. Chad |
