Default Audacity and MIDI

I've tried the freebie version of Audacity and found it didn't support MIDI, so I bought an Audacity CD on ebay. That doesn't support MIDI either.

How do I convert MIDI to WAV or MP3 please?

audacity is always free from what i know. you shouldn't have to buy a cd of it.

if you have garageband or any kind of notation software, you can should be able to open the midi file in either one of those and export it as an audio file. otherwise, get a program like audio hijack pro and try just recording the midi file when you play it back.

also, you might try this: MIDInight Express - the FREE, emulated wavetable MIDI player and renderer for Windows. i don't know anything about it but found it by googling.

what are you using to create/play this midi file? that software might be able to convert it, depending on what it is..

Recently, I've been using SynthFont. Takes my sound fonts and has a WAV out.
