Default Yamaha HS50M Reviews

Yamaha HS50M @ Musiciansfriend

Yamaha HS50M @ Zzounds

Yamaha HS50M Description
The HS50M is a 70-watt, biamped reference monitor with a 5" neopropylene woofer and 3/4" tweeter.

Designed to deliver an honest mix, the HS50M has a flat 55Hz-20kHz frequency response. Room control and frequency response switches allow custom tailoring of the monitor's response, making it perfect for all types of recording and multimedia applications. Easily create a 5.1 surround sound setup with the addition of an HS10W powered subwoofer (sold separately).

Enclosure is constructed of high-quality MDF material and feature a multi-layer finish that minimizes resonance.

If someone have use the original , ns10m, how do you find the hs50 in similarity to the originals, do they sound like the ns10m ??? is it normal for the hs50 to be way to bright?? I've been mixing with the hs and after a quick check on other speakers, the sound is too dull or the highs are gone.

Seems well built.
Got these as a second pair to my KRK's for comparison.

Came with Aurelex Mopads and Onstage monitor stands for free, and a $100 rebate.

Reliability: 8
Just got them, but expect they will last. Always had good luck w/ Yamaha speakers.

Overall Rating: 10
These are very mid rangy and are good to use for comparisons. Kind of a poor man's NS-10. So far, so good.
