Default TC Helicon VoiceWorks

This was the first outboard preamp I bought to supplement my DAW. The onboard ones were just decent but I wanted a few steps up. I saw that this VoiceWorks could do simulated doubling as well as harmonies. First let me say I've done very little with the harmony so that isn't really what I"m reviewing here:

Quality
TC Helicon only makes one quality of gear....Excellent. This unit is solid and is tight in build with no slop in any of the controls. Very precision feeling to it all around. The sound is superb. The built in effects are not much of a compromise that's for sure. Even the reverbs are sweet and accurate with high bit rate quality sound. The "Thicken" function is one I'm pretty addicted to. it just make a voice sound BIG and wide. The multitude of adjustments to the setting is nearly dizzying and fortunately very accessible with little to no effort. This has been my "go to" pre for most of my work. The pitch correction can be a real help at times if you're having one of "those" days where you seem a bit off.
Reliability
Works perfectly each and every time with no hitches. Their customer support is excellent as well. I had a few setup questions and they answered quickly and concisely.
Recommendations
I highly recommend this channel strip for anyone wanting a great preamp, super effects AND harmony capability along with thickening effects. It is a very quiet preamp with plenty of punch. The onboard compression is very transparent indeed. Also has a noise gate and other wonderful features.
