Thanks for the link. But this might be more help:

1. Record Inst./Voice dry first
2. Route (both physical and virtually) an output from your interface to the compressor.
3. Route the output of the compressor to and input of your interface.
4. Solo and loop track to be compressed.
5. Play back track through compressor, only monitoring compressed signal.
6. With LH knob at about 11 o'clock, set the meter switch to measure input level. Set level of track out within DAW so the meters bounce enthusiastically and safely.
7. Change meter switch back to Gain Reduction.
8. Slowly twist RH knob until needle deflects just slightly to the left.

Experiment with how much GR you want to use depending on the source, tempered by how hot you make the input. The Input will affect the drive of the tubes and roughly approximates a Threshold control, as the threshold is actually fixed. The GR knob is rather like a Ratio knob, although not exactly because of the knee shape and other nerdy considerations.

Be Prepared to take multple tries on getting a sound that works in your mix, as compression is tricky cumulative effect and what you hear soloed might be doing something entirely different in your mix. I lightly (I thought)compressed a snare inside a drum mix and in context, it sounded like I had Ted Williams on drums. It was OK, but unexpected.

Nice box, though. Now go have fun.

Damn, I was hoping this was going to be a big review. I've always been intrigued by the colored compressors.

Garagband pretty much has you covered.
