Default Cakewalk SONAR 6 Producer Edition Reviews

I've been using Cakewalk SONAR 6 Producer Edition for just over a year now. I started my "home recording career" with Sony "Acid Music Studio 6.0" which was OK but didn't meet my needs for long.

I read all the reviews on Pro Tools and Sonar and talked to "my guy" at the local music gear store and finally went with Sonar. The deciding factor was consistently hearing that both had equivalent capabilities and quality but that the workflow and UI for Sonar was easier to learn.

The learning curve (like any DAW) was steep but now that I know the basics and how things are layed out it is easy to navigate and use. The help section and tutorials are excellent and I can generally answer my own questions quickly. I've called Sonar twice for help and the support was very good. They actually answer the phone and spend whatever time is needed to solve the problem (even if I'm the problem)

I'm happy with my choice and plan to continue using Sonar and upgrade when a future version has features that I need (7 doesn't yet - 6 meets all my needs).
