Apple Logic Express 8 Description
The latest version of Apple Logic Express features a redesigned, next-generation, single-window interface that includes built-in browsers, a consolidated Arrange window, simplified track setup, and precrafted templates for a variety of music styles and production scenarios. Intuitive writing tools make it easy to utilize any of the 1000's of included Apple Loops or to record your own MIDI samples, notate your creations in real time, and even synch-up with QuickTime movies for more manageable scoring.

So far so good. Updates come up every so often to address minor issues.

Lots of plug ins and other stuff I have yet to explore. Do mostly straight recording.

Loop browser is great!

Reliability: 9
So far so good. The occasional burp , but closing the window and reopening usually fixes things. If not, shut down the program and re open

Apple forums offer solutions to problems with some digging. Mostly beginner stuff there though.

Had to trash the preferance file to fix a latency problem once.

Overall Rating: 10
Yes. The new interface is awesome. Going from 7 to 8 is like night and day.

Brilliant software. Sounds fantastic and I can do anything with it in less than half the time Pro Tools 7 used to take me. Very user friendly, plug and play with most hardware.

Reliability: 8
Occasional crashes, but no major problems. Auto-save makes these merely annoying.

Overall Rating: 10
Fantastic value and definitely a brilliant purchase.

I really like Logic. It's the most intuitive program I've tried. Lots of good plugins included too.
