Here's a link for a tutorial illustrating what we consider a sound approach to mastering your final mix. You can use the T-RackS 3 Deluxe Mixing and Mastering suite, or any comprehensive software or hardware mastering set-up.

Check it out here...

Thanks for the post on the tutorial. I used the techniques shown there it a couple weeks ago and my mix improved greatly. Sounds like pro mastering studios laugh at t-rax but it's making my mixes sound, well, better. I am reading great things about this new mastering program

Pity it's not ported for Mac (yet.)

I bought har-bal and honestly don't think its really worth it.. Its not new either.. its been out for a while and has not been updated. They never came out with a VST version. I would be surprised if it ever gets ported to MAC.. the site is pretty much dead.

Don't get me wrong, its a decent product and the website has some decent tutorials etc.. its just at a hundred bucks... its not worth it to me in its kind of dated form.

Thanks for the info on Har-Bal...It sounds like a brilliant idea and i read some great reviews but they may have been old. Just added great female vocals to the track i posted here and now i think it may be worth taking to a pro for mastering, after reading the pro's take on T-racks (and comparing my best shot with it to commercial recordings...Good...but not fan freaking tastic.)
Mahalo.
