Is it possible to remove an instrument in a song that is only panned on the left or right the whole song by removing, for example, the left speakers audio and then centering the right side of the audio? Sry i dont really know much about this stuff lol but I'm trying to make a guitar backing track(and luckily all the lead guitar in most of the songs are panned to the left or right)

last april i saw an ad for a plug in that did spatial filtering you can filter from left to right and take as much or as little out of the spread as you want ![]() seriously if you have two stereo tracks and you want to remove something from the left try using just the right track |

you could but then i'd just be mono... which is worse than probably just leaving the instrument in. or remix/re-record it

yea i tried just using one side, but on the solos there is still the guitar, some of it must be centered then. I also tried cutting out the center sound and that had an opposite effect and took out all the other instruments...it doesnt make sense
