Smile Help!!

Hi, I just turned 16 and Im new to the site and I wanted to see if you guys could help me

well since I record music I always want to get the best so sometimes mess around with professional songs and stuff like that but here is the question...

How do I make the final mix all parallel without clipping?

for example (Used Audacity To show example):
The Top Wave or Mp3 or whatever is the actual Album version
and the one at the bottom is the acapella mixed in with the instrumental

The bottom sounds the same as the top one (well atleast to me) but I wanted to know how can I make the bottom one look like the top one?

any help is appreciated

using either a compressor or a limiter would give you the desired effect.

WHY ?????

Why do you care how it **looks**
You should care how it sounds

But if you really want it taht way
just keep running it through a compressor and limiter
and repeat a few times
and you can get a solid blue bar filling up the whole space.

That's pretty much what I was going to say! I'm not sure why you would want to do that though.

You guys who have 100% creative control of your recordings have no idea the luxury you have.

JMix,
Do yourself a favour and study what the "loudness wars" are all about.
You are at an age where during your whole lifetime the brutal destruction of something called "dynamic range" in music mixes has been going on.
Please take a look at this article:

Welcome To The Land Of loud. | Studio Manifesto

and this one:

The Loudness Wars - Why Should You Care? | Studio Manifesto
