Default Delay Effect Using CEP

I am looking to get a delay effect of around 3 to 4 times in my recording. The most I can get at this point is 2 times. Can someone please explain to me how to go about getting the 3 to 4 times? I am a bit confused to what I put for the following:

This is for Cool Edit Pro, btw.

Left Channel:
Delay
Mixing
Invert?

Right Channel:
Delay
Mixing
Invert?

Presets:

Please help & thank you for your time.

I'm not sure how real time effects work in cool edit but I don't remember them being very intuitive. However, the best way to achieve the effect you're after is to use a tempo delay. Most of these delays will allow you to set the feedback, mix, tempo and rhythm, adjust the feedback until your happy with the decay. You may need to find a plug in you like rather than relying on the stock stuff cool edit supplies you with.

You can always add a compressor after the delay to bring out those quieter delays.

3 or 4 times what ?

patch in a delay line that is long enough would be the easy way

you can build your own - lots of textbooks show how to do it
make it with selectable taps so you can use it for other projects too

or
bounce a track twice
add reverb to one
subtract the other one
you just get the delayed signal
repeat until the delay is long enough
