Default Cubase LE 4 help

I have limited experience, but I am definitely willing to learn more about recording.

OK, now for my problem, I have a single guitar track recorded that switches between clean and distortion. When the distortion kicks in I lose volume (due to mid EQ I think.

How do I select the distorted parts in order to adjust things to match the rest of the track? Like I said, I'm new.

I'm either cheap or poor. Whatever the case may be, I use Cubase LE4 with a Tascam US-144 and a Tascam 2488Neo. The KRK monitors make it all sound good though.

I guess you recorded these all as one take. Just automate them so you get the levels you want.

I usually put my clean tracks on separate tracks from the distortion because it makes both tracking and mixing easier. In live settings I try to get the clean and distorted channels to be about the same level.

yeh i agree. the easiest way is to record them seperately on their own channel. then provided your recordings are consistently played you need only change the volume of the overall channel. - instead of automating 1 channel's volume up and down and up and down when the different guitar parts start
