I've been using one of these for a little over a year. Within the last couple of months, the right channel has developed some sort of problem that has only gotten worse over time. It's now so bad that the right channels basicly useless. I plan to keep the device around simply because its my only midi device, but beware: if you start to notice noise developing and its still covered by the 1 year warranty, get it serviced right away as it may get worse.

Spoonman I would suggest steering clear of the Tascam US144. Mine started getting hinky: sometimes I had Analog sig in/sometimes not. The guys at tech support were great but ultimately unable to help me resolve the issue. I reloaded all my software starting with XP and all drivers in latest versions all to no avail. For my money go with the Lexicon Lambda. dcarletto |
