Giving it a 9 only because I have never seen a piece of equipment that was a perfect 10 yet ^-^

Got this so I could switch it between my laptop and tower.

Built well, quiet pots, Well laid out with pots recessed so you can't accidentally bump the settings easily. Plenty of power for the headphone out. Used it straight and with my Mackie mixer With great results.

I've had this about a month and switch it between my tower and my laptop without one hitch. Laptop runs Windows Vista premium home / tower using XP-SP 3

Even on the dual core 2.2 GHZ.laptop no latency probs but suggest you turn off processes not needed which I do when I'm doing anything serious. Using it just as a sound card whit tons of apps open , not one drop-out yet.

I don't use the enclosed Cubase but still I got this new for $79 and it does what I need it to.

BTW drivers for Mac and 64 bit OS's on Teac's site. Software passed Windows 7 compatibility tests.

If powering Phantom Mic's with your laptop be sure to plug the lap top into Wall. Phantom Mic's will put a pretty good drain on the system battery but that's to be expected.

No problems yet updated the Units firmware and downloaded the newest drivers from the web, Im Very happy.

As to the user with the stand-by/hibernate problem, I haven't had one laptop that DIDN'T have some problem waking up at sometime or another. Answer? Don't let it go to sleep when recording.

I'd certainly recomend this to someone that needs 2 quiet analog inputs and Midi interface. Simply does what it should and nothing else.

I'd buy it again if someone snatched it out of my car.
