I have 2 of these as well, and they are superb. Rock solid, no hassles ever! And THEY SOUND GREAAATTT!!!! Really worth it. The Multimix option allows you flexibility - any kind of routing, sub mixing for monitor comparisons, etc. Also low latency. Quality-wise, they beat any other hardware, and sounds as good as any highend product or better!

I would have to say I am not sure on that one. You could drop a line to RME support and ask.

Hi! I don't think you can do that, because the breakout box is powered via the Firewire-type cable that is connected to the PCI/PCIe card inside the computer. So it's probably not possible, unless RME has a different solution to power it externally. But why would you want to do that - if you have a Digi02? If you are going from the computer to that, why do you need to convert again? The Digi02 already has its own DA converters.

There is an External Power Supply available, But I think audiocurry is right, Digi02 has converters.

Exactly. I agree. Why would you want to have 2 interfaces? Unless you really need 2, but it's not necessary on the same machine, unless you need that many no. of I/Os. It's simpler to go with one or the other. It's a doubling up of your investment, which is better spent elsewhere.
