Line 6 TonePort UX8 Description
The rackmountable Line 6 TonePort UX8 delivers high-caliber USB computer audio powered by standalone GearBox modeling software as well as GearBox plug-ins for your recording software. The UX8 provides recording inputs and outputs for eight simultaneous channels of studio-quality, 24-bit/96kHz audio. Perfect in a professional or project studio, this little powerhouse gives you eight XLR inputs with high-quality dedicated mic preamps, eight 1/4" line inputs, two 1/4" front panel instrument jacks, eight 1/4" balanced line output jacks, and two stereo headphone jacks, as well as stereo RCA S/PDIF input and output.

As an added bonus, TonePort UX8 comes with GearBox modeling software and GearBox Plug-In in VST, AU, and RTAS (Pro Tools) formats. The combination gives you unmatched flexibility when you're ready to record, mix, and master. It includes a gigantic collection of models you get to noodle around with contains 18 guitar amps and 24 cabinets (all PODXT-based); 5 bass amps and 5 bass cabs; 6 mic preamps; as well as 30 stompbox and studio effects for guitar, bass, and vocals. The amps and cabs are based on a mix of popular Marshall, Fender, Mesa/Boogie, Vox, Roland, Soldano, and other models, with realistic looking controls every guitarist will be familiar with. For bassists, you'll enjoy the incredible tones of the replications of legendary amp and cab models like the Ampeg SVT and the Fender Bassman. The GearBox interface allows you to record wet or dry, or run a completely different signal path for your mic input with models of vintage preamps, compressors, and reverbs while still giving you the ultimate direct recording sound for your guitar. And then there are the 29 studio and stompbox effects, from fuzz to classic distortion, multiple reverbs to digital delay. No matter which way you go, you're getting world-class studio tone without having to be a rocket scientist or holder of a sound engineering degree.
