 Line 6 POD Studio question
A bit confused. Line 6 seems to have changed the POD Studio GX. One is designated "Toneport" (the older one) while the newer one seems to be just designated the Studio GX. Is there any difference in the hardware between the two? I think I've discerned that the packaged software is different...older red faced unit comes with "GearBox" and the new one comes with "POD FARM". I'm mainly interested in something that will let me bypass the sound card which these both apparently allow. Last edited by MikeA; 03-22-2009 at 12:44 PM.  |

I used to have gearbox then I upgraded my hardware and pod farm came wtih it. The programs are different but im sure still have a bunch of the same sounds. The program has a million presets just like gearbox. Pod farm is easier is to use in my opinion. Its very interactive and allows you to double click or drag amp heads, cabs, effects, into an open area to build your setup.
