ElectricLight,
Thanks for the post, I'm torn between the Presonus Firebox, Presonus Inspire, or the Lexicon Omega. My wife and I don't require a lot of simultaneous tracks, 4 will be plenty. How do you like the computer interface? It looks like it could be a little more cumbersome than the Presonus.

Mvioman,
This is directly from the Lexicon Omega Manual. "USB Port The USB Port is used to connect the Omega to your computer. A standard USB cable is included. The Omega is compatible with USB 2.0 ports, but the USB 2.0 bus will switch to the slower USB v1.1 speed to work with the Omega." So as long as you have some USB 2.0 ports on your computer, nothing to worry about. Set your music free :-)

Mvioman,
I would suggest you take a look at the Soundcard Wizard on this site. You can specify what your requirements are and it will show a list of cards that will meet your needs. That way you can narrow the search by price range and see what interface suits you best. I don't own the lexicon yet so I can't really comment on it, but Electriclight has used one for many years and had good luck with it. Good luck!
