![]() ![]() Compare the best prices from all over the web on Focusrite Saffire PRO 10 Is The Focusrite Saffire PRO 10 The Right Audio Interface For You? Find the audio interface that is perfect for you on the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard. Focusrite Saffire PRO 10 Description The Focusrite Saffire PRO 10 I/O is a multichannel FireWire interface with the same highly integrated I/O and monitoring control software as the 26 I/O. The 10 I/O can handle larger recording jobs thanks its ability to link multiple units, all controlled via the same software control platform. Housed within a sleek 19" rackmount case with detachable rack ears styled similarly to the 26 I/O, the 10 I/O combines eight channels of Focusrite preamplification with eight balanced line outputs and stereo SPDIF I/O. The preamps featured in the Saffire PRO 10 I/O are a derivative of the award-winning Green Series. This preamp design upholds the same high-bandwidth philosophy while boasting class-leading specifications. In addition, the converters adhere to performance specifications far beyond other similarly priced interfaces. As with all Saffire solutions, the unit can be either bus-powered or powered via an external power supply. The unit has also been designed to take full advantage of the external power supply and to maximize performance when powered in this way. SaffireControl PRO software delivers a control application that avoids any annoying dropdown menus and provides comprehensive custom mix solutions. It also offers quick-select tracking and playback solutions, as well as both the float and shrink/expand facilities found in the original. Saffire Pro 10 I/O also features MIDI I/O alongside a host of additional processing features. Two channels with DI are also provided, eliminating the need for a separate DI box. The front panel boasts two independent headphones outputs with volume control, again customizable within SaffireControl PRO. In addition to the control software, Saffire Pro 10 I/O comes bundled with the same acclaimed compression, reverb, amp modeling and EQ VST/AU plug-ins for use in the mix. |

Quality: 10
This unit is well built and well thought out. It was very easy to get it going as well. The sound- transparent. I was amazed that not even the slightest hiss or noise could be heard during pauses in the drum tracks I recorded-better than expected. Definately achieves what it's supposed to. Reliability: 9 I haven't had the interface long (about 3 weeks) and have had no issues yet except a slight issue updating firmware which was solved easily. I have not had to deal with support. Overall Rating: 9 I would definately reccomend this interface. I am using Windows Vista 64 bit OS without any problems. I would buy it again no question and will probably do so in the future as this interface can be daisy chained. |
