Totally problem free

Used this mic for two years. It was my goto ac gtr mic. I liked the sound I was getting, but after a while became curious about what the "next step up" would be. Sold it and bought an SM81. While the Shure is a slightly better sounding mic for recording ac gtr, it's not $100 better. I think you're going to have to move into the $400+ price point to get a truly better sdc than the Rode NT3.

Had one of these and with a Summit 2BA-221 it was magic. A better single mic acoustic guitar sound than "Dust in the Wind". However, after the second Summit crapped out, I couldn't repeat that result with the Midas 160 or the HV-3C or the preamps in the Fireface. I sold it which is too bad because you can put a battery in it! Love all the Rode stuff. Not that there's not better, it's just that the Rode stuff is a great value-for-money.
