Quality: 9
im a beginner recorder and this is my first condenser(s).
the build qulaity, to my inexpirenced self, is nice. it looks and feels to be very well made for the price.
As far as sound goes i would say it is pretty decent. Its very clear and i especially like it on my acousitc guitar and have also used it for some percussion instruments as well as an accordian and got good results. i have used it with different singers(5 or 6) and have gotten different results. most were good but for a few(1 or 2) i ended up just using a shure sm58 or a similar dynamic. i think it also depends on the style of music. for some songs i have recorded of myself i used it but for others i didnt like it. as others have said you just need to expirement.

Reliability: 8
have had it for a few months and have had no problems. it came with a hard case which protects it very well.

Overall Rating: 8
for a beginner like myself i would definatly reccomend it. i got the 990/991 package and have gotten good results. as i said on acoustic guitar using both mics. obvously not the best mic out their but very good for the beginner on a budget. the shock mount is also very stable and good quality in my opinion.
