Great priced item for starting out recording. I love the tom/snare clips. Small enough to fit in a tight drum set-up.

As far as sound quality goes, it's average to poor. The snare mic is dull and has a very hard time capturing the snap and crack sound. If using as the top mic, back it away a couple extra inches to reduce the fatness. I use this as a bottom mic in combo with an SM57 on top and gets what I'm going for for each mic.
The kick mic has the same problem, very dull, not enough snap. I've used this as the low-end 2nd mic on the kick and placed in a lot of different settings, but in the end I end up mixing it out and go with my Audix D4 solo. It would be suitable for live or practice but the kick is not up to par for studio.
The overhead condensers are very versitile. I've used them as high hat mic, overheads, vocal groups and latin percussion in an X/Y pattern. The built in highpass filter is usefull.

Tough little mics, have been hit a couple times by bad players, but not affected the sound or the mic. Owned for 4 years, used a ton

Overall Rating: 0
It's great for a practice setup or live shows, but only half the mics sound acceptable for recording. But for the price of them (I paid $199 about 4 years ago), they are awesome.
