terratec phase x24 firewire + vista + no signal

help!!!
Since days now I have problem recognizing/receiving any signal from my audio interface.
driver is installed correctly, I can choose (asio device) this device in cubase, guitar rig or any other sound app. I see it in windows device manager, seems like everything is fine, but no signal.

some my soft/hard conf:

lenovo r61, 1.9G dual core, 2GB RAM vista 32 + terratec phase x24 fw firewire

is there anythig I am missing. I have nerver worked with firewire before though it is not suppose to be that complicated.

See if you can playback with the windows media center or something. And double check the windows mixers settings for record and playback, along with the Control Panels/Sounds dialog. Meaning - test it as best you can under windows first - then troubleshoot cubase, etc..
