 Sound card Problem With Projectmix io
Hi, im having a problem with my sound card. I have the projectmix io set as the defaulf path to play music. When playing videos or songs on firefox/itunes/ any media player or youtube the sound will become fuzzy/destorted randomly. This does no happen in pt 8 but there is a hui prob in that which im not sure if they ar connected... maybe not.. anyway when it "trips" or distortes the vista mixer will turn black on a program(as showen in the pic). i find that if i pause the youtube vid, open the mixer, click on the black area then rewind the vid a bit its grand but just happens again after a while... it is realy starting to annoy me and i cant find anything like it on the internet. If anyone can help it would be good... Thanks...

We use a Project Mix I/O and have yet to have this particular problem. We've had a few other bugs here and there, but I'm not sure if I would know what is going on in this case. I'll be over at the studio tonight, so I'll talk with Dan ( the Man ) and see if he has an idea for you.

Neither one of us has an idea about your particular issue, fleaman. Have you tried to check out the M-Audio forums?

yep i hav... I think its a vista prob... after a couple of days of searching i found sum info about the black around the mixer in vista... sumthing to do with cpu overloading... but what is strange is it only in an internet browser... its very rare with itunes... well thanks for the reply any way vulconizer...

I'm having audio drop outs with project MIx (listen to music in WMP, the PMIO Hungs, and the only way to listen something again is to restart) , I think M-audio is pretty much BAD. i've had this for 7 months already and this often happends from 2 hours to 2 days. i'm in m-audio forum everyday< I think it's BAD drivers, BAD support, BAD everything, i'm going to sell out my unit, since I now the UNIT it's OK, it's just NOT fore me.
