Need to rip and burn

My 7 yr old computer with XP, was loaded with Music Match, Roxio CD creator and of course, Windows media player. All of which I have used over the years to rip and burn CD's, but mostly, Music Match.

For the past few months, I've not been able to get my Music Match to open nor have I been able to re-install it. No problem, I'll just use the other programs....but the CD's Roxio and Windows media are creating either malfunction in the ripping process or in the burning process and some or all tracks don't playback clean.

Is there a decent free download ripping and/or burn site that you've used that is pretty consistent that you recommend?

FreeRip is a good free program for ripping CDs.

roxio and wmp are always going to give you problems; its probably the worst way to write cd's. try CDBurnerXP, its small, easy to use and free.

I use CDburnerXP and CDex, both are free and work well.
