Default In Need of Great Reference for Tech Jargon

I'm 21, my fifth semester as an audio engineering major, and I have really started to grasp the concepts of what to look for in gear and mixing is coming along, but with more room to learn of course. Soooo my question is well does anyone kno of a great book that can simplify all of the technical and computer terms from square 1. I've been viewing some of your post and am much impressed with the knowledge, just would like to kno what the hell some of yall are talkin about half the time when it comes to the tech geek stuff. NERD at heart, I just wanna get the tech side sparkin just as much as my artistic side, help!!!!!!
