I have just started using my computer to record with. I do this using my Zoom G2.1u guitar processor hooked up via it's USB connector and the Cubase LE software that came with it. Previously I was using a Boss BR-532 4track recorder.
I also have a Zoom RhythmTrak RT123 drum machine, a 12 channel analog mixer and a Yamaha Clavinova CLP 150 electric piano. In addition, a 6'1" Concert grand piano and a couple of condenser mics and a couple of dynamic mics too. I play guitar and piano. Heres the deal - I am looking to replace the boss 4 track and mixer combo with a USB interface hooked up to my computer. I have only done a couple of tracks with the Cubase LE program so I could learn another program if need be. I usually only record up to 2 tracks at the same time. I sometimes use 2 condencer mics to record my acoustic gutiar but usually only do one track at a time. The Clavinova and drum machine both have Midi. I am looking a keeping the intrerface below $200. Any ideas? By the way the reason for the mixer was so I would not have to keep plugging and unplugging stuff all the time which I hated doing. Thanks in advance for all of your help. Pat

Your demands are quite reasonable. Just about any of these will work. In fact, I think all of them would probably work.
Don't forget the coupon up at the top of the page. I'd recommend that you go through the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard to make sure you have accounted for all of your needs. It's easy to forget something. I'd stick with Cubase LE for now. I'm a big believer in Cubase for just about everyone. Brandon
