Default MIDI or normal USB Keyboard?..Please Help

Hi all,

I have some confusion about what kind of keyboard should be used for recording.

Is it ok if i buy a normal keyboard with MIDI out and USB rather than going specifically for a MIDI keyboard?

I am unaware of the technicalities of both.

Please help me in this regard keeping in mind that i will be using Edirol UA-4FX sound interface. The main reason is that a normal keyboard costs much less than a MIDI keyboard/controller.

Thanks.

I think you've confused ap somehow.
And as stated you are confused as well.
Hopefully I won't confuse you or anybody else further.
I'm going to assume (ass u me) that you want to control vst instruments and not record built in sounds from a synth or whatnot.
That being said, no it does not matter if you get a keyboard that has USB on it.
good luck

Sure. I just use a crappy old keyboard to trigger my MIDI samples. It works great for me.
