Exclamation External Hard Drive - USB2.0?

Hi! I need to buy an external hard drive to record on a notebook computer sometimes (I usualy record on my PC at home). I was wondering...Can I use a USB 2.0 connection to load VSTs (DFH and some piano/synth), record and playback songs?

P.S.: I'm really low on money and firewire is not an option at the moment (the notebook has only USB ports).

Thanks,

Shouldn't be a problem, just be sure to have one that spins at 7200 rpm, and you'll be fine
