Default delta m-audio 1010

i cant install my sound card on my brand new pc

my specs are
asus m3n78-vm
amd quad core
4gb memory
750 hd
2dvd r/w
vista prem 64
i had dual core running off xp and it worked fine,
i have tried every thing but it says my computer is not compatable at this time,
i have disabled my sound in bios. msconfig/ control pannel and that dose not work, i have no virus protection and my firewall is off so nothing can be blocking it,
it says insert the disc that came with you multimedia audio controler
which i have done, but then fails and says it is not compatible.

i also downloaded the driver updates from m-audio. that installs properly, but its when i get to putting i the disk that came with the sound card and installing it where it messes up, pops up with the computer not compatable rubbish!!

need this sound card workin asap. please can someone help me sort this out and get to the bottom of it ! thanx!!!!

Download and install the proper drivers from m-audio and don't put in the disk that came with it.

What is on the disk that you need or cannot get from the m-audio website ?

Im also unsure as to why you want to use whatever is on the disk if you've downloaded and installed the drivers already.
As you probably already know, there are different drivers for different OS's; make sure you have the correct one.

This is the driver you should be using: Delta_V64_5.10.00.5069v3.exe

It is version 5.10.00.5069v3

To heck with the disc.

If you downloaded the updates from m-audio then you have the drivers install, why do you need to load the disk. The disk may not be the right driver. One other thing you could try is not running it in quadcore mode. Turn it down to duel core operation.
