Default Is anyone running two pcs or mac-pc via motherboard outputs

I have been experimenting with this so far pretty happy with initial results.
First I tried soundblaster extreme with imac plugged into audio 2 for playback
Now i have ripped out the soundblaster and i am going from motherboard to motherboard via audio out and in.Are there any draw backs to this? the one positive thing i have from it is live playback sharing the same speakers logitech 6 channel.Or am i flirting with disater?

yes its sweet it opens up another world of sound.i just finished setting up my pc driver issues can be a real nightmare.i finally settled on xp pro 64 bit i can't stand the thought of not utilizing anything on my motherboard.after all the experimenting i ended up using
my tone port ux2 as my sound card for recording it eliminated quite a few issues i was thinking of getting a tascam firewire controller to ty everthing together:] its on my wish list:] my mac sounds amazing through my pc haha i bet that would piss thier ceo off.
well it was good talking ill be sure to catch you.
