Life's too short for this kinda bullshit. If Alesis cant supply their customers with the necessary drivers to run their hardware, then fuck em. If the greedy people at MS are to blame for this then fuck em too.
There are countless hardware company's out there who do care about their customers needs and supply 32 & 64 bit drivers. If Alesis dont or wont or cant, then we should boycott them by not purchasing their crap. IMO.

I had been using the beta x64 drivers for a while and I have finally given up. Too many crashes. I am back to Windows 7 x32 and the 32 bit Alesis drivers are running fine.

Neil, are you using the older drivers? What version. I am experiencing crashes and freezes using the latest firewire 32-bit drivers on Windows XP x86, and it's annoying as heck. I couldn't get the 64-bit Vista drivers to work on Windows 7 x64.

Yep the new 64 bit driver is bullshit, I'm running XP 64, this driver not only bombs my daw but half of the software on my PC! even Adobe stuff! - After effects wont even open, even Firefox crashes with the driver installed, the worst thing is, none of this software even uses the Alesis driver, the very fact that it's installed is enough to half cripple my PC!!!

I fucking hate Alesis, I've now had to fork out another £350 for another soundcard . . . Assholes!
