What sort of a bus are you looking for?

I've never heard of one board having a better bus than another.

The only talk about a bus in pro audio is that certain chipsets have problems with Dice II, and most of the firewire interfaces that come out now are Dice II so you need to make sure the board your looking at has a TI (Texas Instruments) firewire chipset.
