Default Software utilities for Audition

I'm a long term user of Audition and use it exclusively to run my recording studio Home - Suite Spot Studios

I'm also a computer programmer and have found the need to supplement some of Audition's functionality with what I believe are very handy utilities. They have certainly made my life easier.

Most of my utilities are donationware (MediaSweeper, AuditionFX & SESBackup) so feel free to check them out.

In a few hours I'm about to release AATranslator which will allow you to import/export to/from Audition from a wide range of other DAWs including, Samplitude, Reaper, etc. This isn't donationware but you can download a fully functional demo version (in a few hours) from AATranslator - Home Page

There is a link there to access the other utilities as well.

Version 1.2 of AATranslator is now available it adds Cubase, Nuendo & OpenTL formats to import from.

It also has an 'append session' feature similar to one that AA1.5 has.

The demo capability has been increased and now allows for non registered users a total of 3 tracks and/or 4 audio clips.

Gotta be happy with a post like that

Keep an eye on the site as there is another version going up soon with lots of extra things and a few fixes.

Also working on an export to Cubase/Nuendo option which may make the next release.

Thanks for that.

As you can see in v1.3 which is now available we have added import/export support for both Cubase/Nuendo and Vegas plus improved video handling across all supported DAWs.

Currently working on importing ProTools v5 as well as support for Cool Edit and all AA binary session files.

In MediaSweeper I have added support for Reaper project files - possibly support for more DAWs in the future

It all takes time :-)

For those who don't know AATranslator is an application which can convert a session from one DAW to another and includes Reaper, Audition, Cubase, Nuendo, Vegas, Sequoia, Samplitude, Sadie, Pyramix, Logic, DAR, n-Track, Fairlight, Soundtrack and any that use OpenTL or AES-31.

We have spent over four months on this and are pretty happy with what we have achieved so far, however, it is clear that our abilities lay in analysis, design, programming & testing and not marketing or sales.

We think that AATranslator is a pretty good program. Sure its not perfect very few are (except maybe MediaSweeper) and for sure things are tough out there yet we still want everyone to be able to experience this application.
So before we move too much further down the ProTools conversion path and in the spirit of 'give a bit get a bit' we have decided to drop the price to $39USD!

But being good guys we have not only dropped the price but have offered all existing buyers of AATranslator a refund of the difference in their purchase price.

I don't think we could be any fairer than that!

While AATranslator makes no claims to converting everything it does do quiet a lot!

So download a copy, try it and then support us in supporting you.
