hi All! Sooooo glad i stumbled across this forum. This should be a no brainer for you all...but I clearly have no brain. Need to know settings to record audio from pc into audition. I can record from mic to audition via m- audio fast track pro. Hooked to pc via usb... I was able to record before via the mixer thru the back of the pc ( line in etc) but am not using it now. Trying in edit view with m- audio selected as audio driver. I get message the asio sample rate is not supported by one of the usb interfaces pls check your sync settings in the control panel. then it shuts down. huh? I need alot of help. thanks! I used to record into audition via my mixer thru the pc.( line in etc) Now..with the mic attached to the m- audio fast track pro and usb into pc..I can only record thru the mic. Nothing records from the pc into audition. Say I wanted to record audio from a youtube ..nada. Do I need to hook up the mixer? think it;s a soundcard issue --thanks for tying to help me out! |

when using the mixer to record into the pc via its onboard soundcard, you are probably using the realtech windows drivers. however, when recording through the mic using the fast track, you are using the fast tracks drivers. you need to select the desired driver in auditions hardware setup, depending on what you need to do.

Yep. That would be my answer too. When you open up audition you need to go to options, then device properties and select which device you wish to use as your input. Then what I normally do once I have set up the hardware is go to view, and click on track properties (alt f4). That will bring up the properties with a list of your input and output device, so that you can change from one to another in your list of devices. Hope that helped. |

the easiest way to do it is to click on sound options normally on the bottom of your windows taskbar.once open go to input/recording..click on system mix and adj the volume to the level u want. open audition and may be youtube..play a video on youtube and click record on audition.you will see it automatically recording. Hope that helped!!
