I'm using Audition 3 on a PC running XP with an onboard SoundMax audio card. No problem recording with the SoundMax card, but when I specify the ASIO driver the record buttons on the multi-track screen are greyed out and can not be selected. Messed around with the ASIO settings a bit to no avail. Anybody been there done that? Thanks, Lonn Pasco, WA |

May have found the answer. I presumed that ASIO was a driver that would work with most soundcards, but I've now come to the conclusion that it is intended primarily for USB or Firewire audio interfaces. Am I right? Regardless, a Lexicon is in my future. |
