Question about Emu 1616M and multitracking with Adobe
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd ask anyone if they've used the 1616M on their laptop and was successful in recording multiple tracks simultaneously. I've been recording for a lot of years starting with the old Fostex 4 track cassette recorder and 8 track reel setups, but am still a relative newbie to computer based multitrack recording. I currently have the Emu 1616M PCMCIA setup and have Adobe 3 installed along side a SawStudio installation as a means of comparison. Up to this point I've either recorded 1 track at a time, or mixed the band through a mixer and recorded, er, well, 1 track using all the instruments.....lol......The question is, how do I get the multiple instruments on their individual tracks? Should I use ASIO4All, or the Emu ASIO drivers or does it matter? Also if anyone knows any video tutorials on using the Emu would be helpful.
Thanks
Seth
