hey guys. its nice to be back here. howr u all?? anyway, i've been using cooledit pro 2 since the very beginning and recently switched to flstudio but i still do the cleaning up of tracks wit cep2. the thing is, when i record my guitar track, the drum and bass tracks also gets captured in it. i just reformatted my computer and before it works fine. some additional info is i switched from xp pro to home. is that connected to the problem? i installed the same drivers for my mother board. it also happens when i record in flstudio. i havent used an audio interface because it works fine before. any explanations and suggestion would be much appreciated. thanks everyone!!!

hey guys i think i got the solution to my own problem already.hehe. i reinstalled windows but this time using windows xp pro. the thing that i missed was the primary sound card driver which was included with windows xp pro and not in hp home. the problem was, when i recorded, the sound was being supplied by my realtek driver and also given out by it. so the sound loops in a way, making what i play back be recorded in the track that i was recording in. i reinstalled windows xp pro and "wala". the settings came back. the output was being given by the primary sound card driver and the line in was controlled by the realtek sound card driver. it solved my problem. i hope this helps you guys.
