multitrack view

So Everything on audition 3.0 works fine for me, until i get to the multitrack view, then it freezes up on me. It just started doing this not too long ago.

You can set different audio engines for both edit and multitrack views, maybe something was changed in the multitrack settings.

did you make any pc or audition changes just before it started doing this?

Not that i know of, but i will check the settings just to make sure.

I'd also suggest re-running setup again. It should give you an option to repair. Also, if you use your computer for internet browsing, run a virus scan.

I would but I dont have the original copy, a friend of mine had let me use it, but he has the setup disk

I used to use Cool Edit Pro. Then it was bought out and they changed to many things and I didnot like it. Try finding Cool Edit Pro 2.0.... This was the best out of all. I still have it and use it for certain things. Cool edit pro does things that none of the other daw's will do in the editing mode. I never had a problem with it till I got the new version by Adobe Audition.

I also use cool edit pro as well and Ive been for years, could your problem be from your pc components such as a dying video card or is your cpu running on 100% load? let me know what the outcome is im curious.
