Default Microphone help in Adobe Audition 3

Alright, so I have the mic set up, and it records... the problem?
I can't hear myself. Well, to clarify I can, except when recording. I can turn the mic on and speak into it and it comes right out of the speakers, but when I hit record it stops that... it will still record my voice though. I have an Audigy sound card. Never had this trouble before until I redid my PC.

Any suggestions?

Please and thank you.

Hi, the problem is not in Audition. It's in your Audigy setup. It should have a mixer or look under options in your Audigy configuration and make sure your soundcard is set to "dual". It might have a slightly different name. You should go through all the configuration options for your Audigy.

God bless and good luck!

In AA 2.0, the multitrack view has an Option - Monitoring - Audition Mix - Always Input setting that lets you control how it mixes live audio with playback. I'm not sure if that helps or if its the same in 3.0 as I haven't upgraded.
