Is there a way to take a mp3 file, and just edit a certain part of the song? say for example, i want to lower the parts of a beat where my vocals are gonna be at. or would i have to cut the mp3 and fade em in while lowering the vol, of the track i want lowered? Or is there a special way to do this? |

Yes, highlight the track and go into the edit view. Highlight the portion of the track that you want to reduce the volume of, then go to effects on the left and there should be some heading that says "Volume" some where. Click on that and there should be something that says "volume reduction" or something of the sort. |

Actually when you highlight a section in Edit View, Audition automatically adds a volume knob on the selected area. Just turn the knob to the left until you're at the required level. Done!
