Question Live audio monitoring in Audition 1.5

Hello everyone,

I'm probably being stupid but I can't work out if audition 1.5 has the facility to playback vocals as they're being recorded. It's quite essential for me to be able to hear vocals in headphones while I'm singing. I was thinking it might be an issue with my external soundcard settings (a 2 input alesis usb). Does anybody know about this?

Thanks.

Hey there. I have no experience with adobe audition 1.5 but have [reviously used audition 2 and 3.

I would assume that this is possible cos it is a neccesary task while recording
I suggestmaking sure that you have set you audio output in audition to your soundcard output. or your computersheadphones output.

In audition 3 you go to settings, audio hardware setup. but i dont know if it the same in 1.5

I hope this has helped. post back if it didnt. i wish i could be more help/

Audition 1.5 doesn't have the ability to do live input monitoring. Audition 3.0 does however and that is why I upgraded. What you can do if you are using a mixer is run your mic channel to a bus and then monitor the bus through your headphones.
