Default asio drivers for mbox 2 and adobe audition 3

Hey, this is my first post and I am not a computer tech person at all really...

I have a mbox 2 and just got a new laptop with vista so my old protools doesn't wk, I have got Audition 3.0 working and I downloaded the standalone ASIO drivers from digi. The mbox is working but in Audition it only picks up the Realtech mic and speakers from my laptop and when I click on ASIO it tell me I haven't got those drivers installed. Do I have to install other ASIO as well, totally lost here, please help, keep it simple too aghhh!

thanks!!!

as said before download asio4all from ASIO4ALL - Universal ASIO Driver and install it. Works great with Vista x64 too.

after you install, change the Edit->Audio Hardware Setup setting in Audition 3 to use ASIO sound drivers.

Once you do this, and then run Audition, you will see an icon coming in your system bar. Just right click the icon, to get the Settings for the ASIO drivers. Make sure that you select your Mic, stereo outputs, etc...

ASIO shows different outputs like Stereo Speakers, the Jack/external outputs, and similarly for inputs to, like if the laptop has inbuilt mic, it will show that, and the other external mic's too.

So you will have to select the appropriate output/input in your Audition Multi track options, to hear/record it.

Hello

I have problems with latency in recording in multi track on Adobe Audition 3.
The tracks are out of synch. I have a Dell studio vista machine with Realtek sound card. I have installed Asio4All but can't get it to work. It just says the input is not connected.

I just can't figure out how to get it set up. Can't someone please help with an idiot's guide to setting up Asio4All? I just don't know what I'm doing

Thanks
