Anyone Know How To Edit Vocals In Adobe Audition 3.0 Help Please !!!!!!!!!

hi people i have a little problem. every time i want edit my vocal i dont know what effects to use. i have a high end mic the samson co1u condence, adobe audition 3.0, top range laptop and Samson Studio Dock Monitors . can some one just write me a list of the effect that are typically applied to rap vocal in adobe audition 3.0 from the firts effect to the last one and i want my sound to have this quality:

That's a good vocal sound. It's clearly been mixed well. In fact, I'm a little suprised that this mic sounds this thick. The less expensive condenser mics usually get a little fizzy. Then again, the right guy mixing this could definitely work with it.

I'm hearing a very colored compressor. I'd reach for the URS 1970 compressor first for this type of sound.

Other than that, his track sounds try to me. The background vocals and such have a lot of layers and ambiance on them and they really fill out the vocals, but as for the lead rap dude, it's definitely pretty dry.

I've always found Isotope Ozone to be a great mastering plug-in which has some nice vocal presets.

I learned to put insert effects in this order: 1. Noise Gate (to get out any distracting background noise and unwanted noise on the track), 2. Compressor (to even out the dynamics of the track or for a thickening effect), and the Equalizer last in the chain. You can also send the vocal to short delays to thicken it up and give it size, and also add reverb for depth. Or you can use reverb for size and delay for depth. For the most part though, someone can't instruct you what to use in your mix, you have to listen and decide whats appropriate.
