For one, the ability to do live input monitoring is a plus! If you are going to use plug-ins like guitar rig or drumagog, live input monitoring is essential. Also, they have tweaked the interface a bit to make things easier to find. I have and use Adobe Audition 3.0 and have been using the product since it's days as Syntrillium Software's Cool Edit Pro! I think it is a great product and just as good as any other multi-track recording/editing software. It may not be pro tools, but it's definitely good for a small project studio on a budget.

Thanks, Are there any better tools for mastering? I record on a Tascam DA38 then mix and "try" to master them in 1.5. I use professional sound tracks with one vocal. I've been doing this for a good while but my main issue is getting all ten or so tracks on a project to have equal volume. I use normalize on all tracks but that doesn't really do it. Everyone says it's a ear thing. I would upgrade to 3.0 quickly if it is better. |
